Our work on rice is at supporting farmers increase productivity. One aspect of this rice area is improving the quality of locally milled rice for consumption. We have done with our Centre for Agro Processing; the centre was able to process 400 bags of paddy rice thereby providing ready market to some rice farmers. Rice produced by the centre is stone free and it branded “Bolga Rice.”

My name is Mrs Afama. I am a rice par-boiler and a farmer as well. I have been working with TradeAID for more than nine years. I must say with much joy that my living standards have improved. Before then I did not have or benefit from support in any form but TradeAID have supported me in the area of farming and giving employment to work as a rice parboiler in the rice mill. I am able to cater for the needs of my entire family. I am very thankful to TradeAID.
