Nicholas Apokerah - Executive Director

Nicholas Apokerah has been the director of TradeAID since its inception, and in his time as the head of the organisation has led poverty-reduction initiatives during which 5,000 people have been affected. He is inspired by the NGO's actions that provide the local craft people with the support to meet their basic needs.

Jonah Ayinga - Finance and Administration Officer

Jonah has worked very closely with the basket weavers and the other craft groups for some years. A great source of pride has been seeing just how much TradeAID helps the local groups - how his work generates income for families, aiding people in providing for their children and sending them to school.

Vidah Virginia Boyubie - Programmes Manager

Vidah has been working at TradeAID for the past three years. She likes working with smallholder farmers, craft women and basket weavers. The nature of her work is in the office and out on the field where she gives small holder farmers economic and climatic farming training. She is always happiest when she is with the farmers.

Amoah Simon - Project Co-ordinator of the Climate and Change Adaptation in Northern Ghana Enhanced (CHANGE) Project

The ultimate outcome of the CHANGE  project is for small holder farmers to have improved adaptive capacity and increased resilience to the impacts of climate change on food security, agriculture and livelihoods. Simon feels fulfilled in his role at TradeAID as he contributes towards the improvement in the living conditions of the less privileged in the rural communities.

Ayine Agnes - Administrative Assistant & Secretary

Agnes has worked at TradeAID for two years and enjoys everything about working here, especially meeting lots of different people and working with the International Service volunteers. She has learnt a lot from colleagues who always help and have taken her through a lot of training.

Duti Conrad Bilarh - Advocacy & Research Officer

One thing Conrad enjoys about working with TradeAID is seeing the impact they have on the rural communities. One success is improving the incomes of basket weavers by exposing them to international markets. TradeAID has helped the rural communities by selling to fairtrade companies.

Jennifer Apaliya - Social Enterprise Co-ordinator

Jennifer really enjoys being able to interact with a lot of people. Overcoming problems is a daily and exciting challenge at TradeAID; when the internet is down she is able to talk to lots of people from many different cultures. Jennifer also enjoys working on new projects, such as the rice producers of Biu.

Solomon Pastor - Driver

Pastor has been inspired by meeting so many people coming and going in the office. Being a driver he gets to meet different people every day, and working with the volunteers and craft groups has been a particular source of excitement for him as he gets to meet people from many different cultures.

Bismark Asuera - Field Assistant

Bismark has worked here for over three years and TradeAID has financially empowered him to take care of his family. The work has given him opportunities to aquire new skills through training and workshops.
